In May 2003 we journeyed to Kalgoorlie met up with friends/customers,
travelled to Willuna and then spent 2 weeks doing the Canning and then down
the Tanamai to Alice Springs. Both Hilux extra cabs handled the trip well
with no breakdowns. Part of the secret was averageing only 130ks a day and
not pushing too hard. When arriving at the top we could have easily turned
around and travelled down as we loved the trip so much. The trip was worth
doing and the pre-planning considered a must. (we intend to do a top to
bottom within the next 4 years.)
